“Shabbat at Home” does not mean that you stay home but just the opposite. Come out for a lovely shortened Shabbat Service at Temple Sinai and then head off to another congregant’s home (A Host Family) for a relaxed and leisurely Shabbat lunch. With the guidance of the Rabbi, Ritual Committee members make decisions concerning the Religious aspects of the Synagogue. Examples of issues that may be discussed are those concerning Kashrut, Service times, prayer books, music at Shabbat Services or amount of Hebrew at services, etc. You don’t need to be highly knowledgeable or observant, but merely have a desire to share and learn more about the religious aspects of Synagogue life. Come out and support the Aleph Class as they receive their Sidur which marks the official beginning of their Jewish Education. A Family Shabbat Dinner will begin at 6:00 pm. Cost for adults is $12, children 5-12 year is $6.00, children 4 years and younger are free. RSVP to the Temple Sinai Office no later than Jan. 31st. Shabbat Services begin at 7:30 pm. All religious school families are encouraged to attend as well as the entire congregation.

This is a morning of enriching the soul, the body and the mind. The morning begins with an abbreviated service follow by a light brunch and study. This year, the study will return to text, Shemot, Exodus being our concentration. As we look to medieval and modern scholars and sages, there is one more very important commentary that needs to be heard, YOURS. Join Us!
