In preparation for Passover, the children of Temple Sinai made Matzah Covers, Elijah Cups and learned to make Charoset. Temple Sinai received a grant from the National Jewish Outreach Program. Invites were sent, center pieces and place cards were made and the tables were set ready for Temple Sinai to have its first Passover Across America, Seder at Sinai.
It’s amazing what can be accomplished when 100 caring people come together for a morning of giving. - 18 flower vases were decorated and delivered to seniors at Lions Gate Nursing Home - 7 dozen baked pet snacks and blankets were donated to a local animal shelter - NUMEROUS-uncounted personal care baggies were put together to be given to women’s shelters along with 5 frozen casseroles -20 fleece blankets were made to be given to Project Linus to provide love, a sense of security , warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or otherwise in need - 392 nutritious children’s snack bags were made: 300 were delivered to the Cathedral Kitchen in Camden for their afterschool program and 92 to a Burlington County shelter - 5 volunteers helped with food packing and distribution at the Jewish Relief Agency
