Each year Temple Sinai participates in 

OPERATION BACKPACK

 

Join Temple Sinai in collecting backpacks and school supplies for school aged children in need.  This year backpacks will be given to the Gloucester County Special Services School District.

 

 

Needed items include:

BACKPACKS

Pens, Pencils and erasers

Markers & Crayons

Highlighters,

Binders, Notebooks and Folders,

Scissors & Glue

Planners, Calculators, etc.

 

 

Place in the foyer of the Fineblum Chapel by August 26

Enrollment Time for

  RELIGIOUS

 

 K – 1st Graders (GAN Class): A great beginning for basic Hebrew, letters, prayers, music, holidays and stories. Sunday only, 9-12 a.m
 
Grades 2 and up: Learn Siddur prayers and meanings, more advanced Hebrew, holidays, Israel and history.  No experience necessary.

GRANDPARENTS-this is a GIFT
to give your grandkids. 

 

Collect them at home or at your place of business and bring them into Temple Sinai.

Place them in the box just outside the Temple Sinai Office.

We are in the midst of preparing the 5782 Yizkor Memorial Service Prayer Booklet.  Remember and honor your departed loved ones by making this tribute in their memory,

and at the same time performing

an act of tz’dakah, charity.

 

If you have never placed a remembrance, Temple Sinai hopes you will do so in the 5782 Yizkor Memorial Service Prayer Booklet. 

 

Cost for remembrances are as follows:  full page $180, half page $96, quarter page $66.

T emple Sinai has joined the

NexTrexplasticfilmrecyclingchallenge

 

For the next 6 months, 

place your plastic bags and certain other plastic film items into the bins in the Religious School.  If we meet our goal of collecting at least 500 pounds of plastic bags and film by mid-October, we’ll be awarded a beautiful recycled composite Trex bench for our garden!

 

 

All Plastic MUST be clean, dry and free  of food residue.

 

 

We also CANNOT use the following items: 

 

  • Degradable/compostable bags or film packaging
  • Pre-washed salad mix bags
  • Pet food bags
  • Hot dog or meat wrap packaging
  • Six-pack rings
  • PPE: Gloves, masks, or protective wear
  • Grape, cherry, etc. bags
  • Lamination film
  • Silage and hay bags
  • Backyard ice rinks
  • Vinyl shower curtains or tablecloths
  • Bedding or linen packaging
  • Shiny, crinkly films like floral wrap
  • Pool covers
  • Resealable granola bags
