On March 21, 2021, leading up to Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day – April 7th this year) Temple Sinai partnered with Yad Vashem (The World Holocaust Remembrance Center, in western Jerusalem) to have a Twinning Ceremony. Temple Sinai students shared their ability to freely and safely become Bar and Bat Mitzvah with a young person who perished in the Holocaust before being able to become a B'nei Mitzvah.
The Sun Newspapers covered the Twinning Ceremony and on March 30th published the story across the region. See https://thesunpapers.com/2021/03/30/a-sacred-obligation-to-remember/ .
